Predictions for 2015: Year of the Ram
1 Astrology consists of several systems of divination based on the premise that there is a relationship between astronomical phenomena and events in the human world.
2 Many cultures have attached importance to astronomical events, and the Indians, Chinese, and Mayans developed elaborate systems for predicting terrestrial events from celestial observations. In the West, astrology most often consists of a system of horoscopes purporting to explain aspects of a person's personality and predict future events in their life based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial objects at the time of their birth.
3 Astrology, in its broadest sense, is the search for meaning in the sky.
4 The Shengxiào literally "birth likeness", is also known in English as the Chinese zodiac. Zodiac derives from the similar concept in western astrology and means "circle of animals". It is a scheme and systematic plan of future action that relates each year to an animal and its reputed attributes according to a 12-year cycle and it remains popular in several East Asian countries.
5 2015 in the Chinese zodiac is the year of the Ram or sheep.
6 Coincidentally, this is also an important year for Israel, and Israel is often symbolized by a ram, or rams horn...A shofar. A shofar is an ancient instrument, devised out of a rams horn. It is used to commemerate special holidays and events in Israel.
7 2015 is also a shmita year for Israel. also called the sabbatical year. It is the seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle mandated by the Torah for the Land of Israel. It is generally a year of rest.
8 Interestingly, according to the Chinese zodiac, the year of the ram or 2015 is expressed generally as a calming, healing year, yet it does specifically point out two points in the year of 2015 that may possibly be turbulent and major changes or upsets may occour. These two periods are between the vernal equinox on march 20 throught april 20th, 2015. Then an even graver threat may be looming from winter soltice on December 21st through the end of 2015.
9 On March 20th of 2015, the Jewish month called Nisan, a full solar eclipse will emerge. followed by a total lunar eclipse, a part of the blood moon tetrad already in progress will occur. These types of celestial events have been reguarded as signs, omens or warnings for events soon to pass.
10 Coupled with the warnings pertaining to the chinese zodiac, it may be more than just a coincidence.
11 In ancient times, it is thought that the three wise men that followed a star to the birth of Christ, are moderenly thought to have been well versed in astrology. It is thought that around that time, celestial events and movement of planets in the night sky, perticularly Jupiter and Saturn and the star Polaris was responsible for letting them know that the birth of a king had taken place, and it was a holy event.
12 Jupiter -- the largest planet in a solar system -- takes 11.86 Earth years to perform one complete orbit of the Sun. In this time, something happens twice: three of the planet's four brightest and largest moons (known as the Galilean moons, Ganymede, Callisto, Io and Europa) out of a confirmed 67 moons, will pass between the Sun and Jupiter at the same time, casting their shadows onto the planet's face -- and the phenomenon will be observable from Earth on January 24th 2015.
13 In Western astrology, Jupiter is considered king of the planets, in account for its size. It is often associated with world leaders, monarchys and religious figures. the triple lunar eclipse on Jupiter starting off for 2015 is a sign or an omen of radical change may occur within 6 months of the event in respect to world leaders, people of power.
14 It may also signify treatys or agreements that are radically different than previous between world powers.
15 To go into a bit more detail for a prediction for 2015, I look to major celestial events occurring at the start of a year. Perticularly in January.
16 A new Comet Lovejoy, designated C/2014 Q2, is heading our way out of deep space and out of the deep southern sky. Though this comet is starting off in late December of 2014, the main event is set to start off the year of 2015. This comet Lovejoy, or some have nick named it the Christmas comet.
17 This comet takes an interesting journey through the night sky visible to earth, passing through many constellations painting a detailed story of possible events to pass, based on ancient interpretations of constellations in the night sky.
18 On new years eve, a little after January 1st universal time, the comet will be passing Columba constellation. a little faint group named in Latin meaning Dove, pertaining to the dove that Noah sent out to find land after it stopped raining.
Also a symbol for peace.
19 Then the comet will pass Eridanus constellation, know by the Greeks to represent a river.
20 On that same day of January 7th, comet Lovejoy will begin to glow its brightest for 2 weeks.
21 The comet will then cross Taurus and then Aries. Taurus constellation is a very old constellation dating back to the Upper Paleolithic era. Cave paintings depicting this constellation date back to 15,000 years ago. Taurus, the bull, is often represented with birth and spring. It is also widely known through the ancient world as an offering or sacrafice.
22 Aries, since late Babalyonian times has been represented by a ram or more specifically a rams horn. Also a symbol used for sacrafice in Greek and roman times.
23 When the comet passes through these two constellations, it will be high in the evening sky visible from earth. Interestingly, the days on the Hebrew calendar start from evening to evening.
24 By then the comet is starting to recede into the distance, but its intrinsic brightness should still be increasing a bit; it doesn't reach perihelion until January 30th, at a rather distant 1.29 a.u. from the Sun. By that date the comet should be starting to fade slightly from Earth's point of view.
25 In February it will continue north between Andromeda and Perseus as it fades further.
26 Andromeda has its roots in Greek mythology as a female figure saved by the demi-god warrior Perseus from an evil sea monster.
27 With comet Lovejoy passing through the middle of these two figures eigther points to exactly the act of saving one, or is it preventing the rescue?
28 After that, the comet will be passing very closely to Polaris, late in May before it fades away from sight. Polaris has been known to represent different ideas over time. It was known as the north star, the guiding star in reference to the 3 wise men, or in Greek mythology, it is known as the little bear.
29 To coincidence the meaning of this comets journey kicking off 2015, we have a story.
30 Peaceful people or peaceful passage of time will sacrifice the ram possibly in spring. Powers will try to stop this event, but may be unsuccessful. Russia or the little bear, since the break up of the soviet union, may be involved.
30 With the interpretation of this event coupled with the triple lunar eclipse on Jupiter, and the solar eclipse on March 20th, and the last two lunar total eclipses happening in 2015 completing the blood moon tetrad with the last being only visible from Israel, I believe a major treaty will be signed that may destroy or try to destroy Israel. This event will begin to take place in spring, and may come to completion after December 21st 2015. It may not even be a treaty but possibly a provacation of war, an upset in world leaders or religious figures triggering a massive war.

Angel of Light & Darkness Appear in the Sun? Archangel Michael
Michael ("who is like God?", Hebrew: מִיכָאֵל (pronounced [mixåˈʔel]), Micha'el or Mîkhā'ēl; Greek: Μιχαήλ, Mikhaḗl; Latin: Michael (in the Vulgate Michahel); Arabic: ميخائيل, Mīkhā'īl) is an archangel in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic teachings. Roman Catholics, the Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, and Lutherans refer to him as "Saint Michael the Archangel" and also as "Saint Michael". Orthodox Christians refer to him as the "Taxiarch Archangel Michael" or simply "Archangel Michael".
Michael is mentioned three times in the Book of Daniel, once as a "great prince who stands up for the children of your people". The idea that Michael was the advocate of the Jews became so prevalent that in spite of the rabbinical prohibition against appealing to angels as intermediaries between God and his people, Michael came to occupy a certain place in the Jewish liturgy.
In the New Testament Michael leads God's armies against Satan's forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan. In the Epistle of Jude Michael is specifically referred to as "the archangel Michael". Christian sanctuaries to Michael appeared in the 4th century, when he was first seen as a healing angel, and then over time as a protector and the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil. By the 6th century, devotions to Archangel Michael were widespread both in the Eastern and Western Churches. Over time, teachings on Michael began to vary among Christian denominations.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, and the Old Testament, the prophet Daniel experiences a vision after having undergone a period of fasting. In the vision in Daniel 10:13-21 an angel identifies Michael as the protector of Israel. Daniel refers to Michael as a "prince of the first rank". Later in the vision in Daniel 12:1 Daniel is informed about the role of Michael during the "Time of the End" when there will be "distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations" and that:
"At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise."
In view of this, Michael is seen as playing an important role as the protector of Israel, and later of the Christian Church.
Although the three occurrences of Michael in the Book of Daniel 10:13, 10:21 and 12:1 all refer to the same individual, who acts in similar ways in all three cases, the last one is set at the "end times", while the first two refer to local time in Persia. These are the only three references to Michael in the Hebrew Bible.
The references to the "captain of the host of the Lord" encountered by Joshua in the early days of his campaigns in the Promised Land (Joshua 5:13-15) have at times been interpreted as Michael the Archangel, but there is no theological basis for that assumption, given that Joshua then worshiped this figure, and angels are not to be worshiped. Some scholars also point that the figure may refer to God himself. In the book of Joshua's account of the fall of Jericho, Joshua "looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand". When the still unaware Joshua asks which side of the fight the Archangel is on, the response was, "neither...but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come".
The Book of Revelation (12:7-9) describes a war in heaven in which Michael, being stronger, defeats Satan:
- "...there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven."
After the conflict, Satan is thrown to earth along with the fallen angels, where he ("that ancient serpent called the devil") still tries to "lead the whole world astray".
Separately, in the Epistle of Jude 1:9 Michael is specifically referred to as an "archangel" when he again confronts Satan:
- "Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses"
A reference to an "archangel" also appears in the First Epistle to the Thessalonians 4:16
- "... the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first" (American Standard Version of 1901, a version that uses the definite article, "the archangel", absent in the original Greek and in English translations (such as the English Standard Version of 2001, which has: "the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God").
According to rabbinic Jewish tradition, Michael acted as the advocate of Israel, and sometimes had to fight with the princes of the other nations (cf. Daniel 10:13) and particularly with the angel Samael, Israel's accuser. Michael's enmity with Samael dates from the time when the latter was thrown down from heaven. Samael took hold of the wings of Michael, whom he wished to bring down with him in his fall; but Michael was saved by God.[17][18] Michael is also said to have had a dispute with Samael over the soul of Moses.[19]
The idea that Michael was the advocate of the Jews became so prevalent that in spite of the rabbinical prohibition against appealing to angels as intermediaries between God and his people, Michael came to occupy a certain place in the Jewish liturgy. There were two prayers written beseeching him as the prince of mercy to intercede in favor of Israel: one composed by Eliezer ha-Kalir, and the other by Judah ben Samuel he-Hasid. But appeal to Michael seems to have been more common in ancient times. ThusJeremiah is said to have addressed a prayer to him. "When a man is in need he must pray directly to God, and neither to Michael nor to Gabriel."
The rabbis declare that Michael entered upon his role of defender at the time of the biblical patriarchs. Thus, according to Rabbi Eliezer ben Jacob, it was Michael who rescued Abraham from the furnace into which he had been thrown by Nimrod (Midrash Genesis Rabbah xliv. 16). It was Michael, the "one that had escaped" (Genesis 14:13), who told Abraham that Lot had been taken captive (Midrash Pirke R. El.), and who protected Sarah from being defiled by Abimelech. He announced to Sarah that she would bear a son and he rescued Lot at the destruction of Sodom.

Rise of the Blood Moon Tetrad
For thousands of years, mankind has looked to the Moon, the sun, and the star phases and events, playing a part in every culture in the world dating back to the begining of mankind. Treated as omens, harbingers, and marking periods of points in time. There must have been something more to these celestial events, something more important, something prophetic. Civilizations around the world for thousands of years have built shrines and monoliths to mark these celestial happenings.
This begs the bigger question of why? Why has mankind been so obsessed with celestial activity?
The answers are giving to us through the word of the bible, in Genesis 1:14 is states," And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years."
These celestial events are for us to mark occasions, and measure time. in the bible the word Seasons is translated to the meaning of feast as referenced in livitcus 23. in leviticus 23:2 it says Speak unto the children of israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of the lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. What is being refered to here is Divine appointments. Points of time that are made important to us by God. Events of occasions set for us by the lord and he shall give us signs to these feasts. When we think to divine appointments we might think of Christmas to mark the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ. While this is true to the literal translation, for accuracy we need to think back to when these divine occasions where set. For this we need to refer to the holy calendar, the hebrew calender.
Now most of the world is on the gregorian calendar that was set by Ceasar and then revised by Pope Gregory. So most do not know of the cycles and dates of occasions of certain events. So lets take a look at the H
ebrew calendar to orient ourselves.
The Hebrew or Jewish calendar ( ha'luach ha'ivri) is a lunisolar calendar used today predominantly for Jewish religious observances. It determines the dates for Jewish holidays and the appropriate public reading of Torah portions, and daily Psalm readings, among many ceremonial uses. In Israel, it is used for religious purposes, provides a time frame for agriculture and is an official calendar for civil purposes, although the latter usage has been steadily declining in favor of the Gregorian calendar.
The era used since the middle ages is the Anno Mundi epoch (Latin for "in the year of the world"; Hebrew meaning "from the creation of the world"). As with Anno Domini (A.D. or AD), the words or abbreviation for Anno Mundi (A.M. or AM) for the era should properly precede the date rather than follow it, although this is no longer always followed. AM 5773 began at sunset on 16 September 2012 and ended on 4 September 2013. AM 5774 began at sunset on 4 September 2013 and will end on 24 September 2014. AM 5775 will begin at sunset on 24 September 2014 and end on 13 September 2015.
The Jewish day is of no fixed length. The Jewish day is modeled on the reference to "...there was evening and there was morning..." in the Creation account in the first chapter of Genesis. Based on the classic Rabbinic interpretation of this text, a day in the Rabbinic Hebrew calendar runs from sunset (start of "the evening") to the next sunset.
There is a weekly cycle of seven days, mirroring the seven-day period of the Book of Genesis in which the world is created. The names for the days of the week, like those in the Creation account, are simply the day number within the week, with Shabbat being the seventh day. Each day of the week runs from sunset to the following sunset and is figured locally.
The Hebrew calendar is a lunisolar calendar, meaning that months are based on lunar months, but years are based on solar years. The calendar year features twelve lunar months of twenty-nine or thirty days, with an intercalary lunar month added periodically to synchronize the twelve lunar cycles with the longer solar year.
Since this calender is based on lunar and solar events and postitions lets take a look at some of the celestial events and feast days or major hoildays occouring this gregorian year of 2014, or hebrew year of 5774 & 5775:
12Purium occoured on March 16th 2014. It is considered a fun and joyus jewish holiday. March 16th was a full moon.
13Passover April 15-16th 2014. Passover starts at sunset on the 15th, that is the night of the first total lunar eclipse or blood moon and also it happens to be a full moon as well best visability from North America.
Shavout, Festival of the weeks, celebrates the giving of the torah at Mount Sinai
Fallin onGregorian date June 4th 2014, the moon is at its first quarter phase.
These are just a few examples of how the lunar phases sync up with the hebrew calender and holy dates. The hebrew calender is also align with solar eclipses.
Now you are probably wondering, "Well if the holy holidays or feast days are always falling on lunar and solar event, so what? The Hewbrew calender is based on their cycles so sure of course they line up?"
What needs to be recognized here is the rareity of a signifigant lunar and solar event. For example a first quarter moon is a lunar point phase, but is not that significant as it occours every month on the gregorian calender. It a common event. But the occourence of a total full moon eclipse in which the moon turns red in the night sky, now that is something to notice!
18Imagine thousands of years ago,the sight of the moon turning red in the dark night sky could seem terrifying and cause panic. Now in the 21st century we know that its simply a total lunar eclipse, a mathmaticly occouring event, since we understand that this is just simply a moon phase, although rare, but through its simplicity of a natural occourence emerges the signifigane of its appearence on a paticular holy holiday.
In Isaiah 46:10 it states: " Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure"
This is stating that indeed God has set these events with a purpose in advance from the begining. Hince they are marked for us to take notice with celestial events that all can see.
Now, it is imporntant understand that on a major holy holiday with a signifigant celestial event occouring, does not not mean that on that given day at that exact time, something extrordinary will happen. These combonations of occourences are set by God to serve as signs, a warning. A omen of something to pass soon. For this we do not know the day or the hour, but we know when to pay close attention, because something extrordinary is forcasted. Its like a weather meteorologist, they warn us in advance of when a strong storm is comming, so we have time to prepare and make adjustments to our lives. They do not wait till the storm is directly in full swing over the intended audience and then announce it. That wouldnt serve much purpose. It is only when you recieve a warning in advance is it meaningful because then you will have time to prepare.
Mathew 24: 36-50
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
Ezekiel 3:17 - Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Persecution of the Christians and Jews in the Roman Empire occurred intermittently over a period of about three centuries until the 313 Edictment of Milan issued by Emperors Constantine the Great and Licinius, when Christianity was legalized. Christians were persecuted by local authorities on a sporadic and ad-hoc basis, often more according to the whims of the local community than to the opinion of imperial authority.
This persecution heavily influenced the development of Christianity, shaping Christian theology and the structure of the Church. Among other things, persecution gave rise to many saints' cults, may have contributed to the rapid spread of Christianity and sparked written explanations and defenses of the Christian religion.
The Blood Moon Tetrad occured on the Jewish Passover and Feast of Tabernacles from 162 through 163 AD serving as a sign or warning of this to pass.
King Charlemagne of the Holy Roman Empire established a DMZ buffer zone between France and Spain, ending centuries of Arab invasions into Western Europe. This occurred on the Jewish Passover and Yom Kippur Holidays in 795 - 796 AD.
Vatican church in Rome was attacked and looted by an Islamic invasion from Africa. This occurred on the Jewish Passover and Yom Kippur Holidays in 860 - 861 AD.
Byzantine Empire defeated Arab armies at the Battle of Lalakaon in Turkey and permanently stopped the Islamic invasion of Eastern Europe. This occoured shortly after the Jewish Passover and Yom Kippur Holidays in 860 - 861 AD.
Only months after King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain ordered all Jewish people to leave the country (after about 200 AD, Spain became and remained a second Jewish homeland for well over a millennia. So deeply woven into the fabric of Spain are the Jews that neither history can be fully studied without considering the influence of the other).
“In the same month in which their Majesties (Ferdinand and Isabella)] issued the edictment that all Jews should be driven out of the kingdom and its territories, in the same month they gave me the order to undertake with sufficient men my expedition of discovery to the Indies.” So begins Christopher Columbus’s diary.
The expulsion that Columbus refers to was so cataclysmic an event that ever since; the date 1492 has been almost as important in Jewish history as in American history. On July 30 of that year, the entire Jewish community, some 200,000 people, were expelled from Spain. Tens of thousands of refugees died while trying to reach safety. In some instances, Spanish ship captains charged Jewish passengers exorbitant sums, then dumped them overboard in the middle of the ocean. In the last days before the expulsion, rumours spread throughout Spain that the fleeing refugees had swallowed gold and diamonds, and many Jews were knifed to death by brigands hoping to find treasures in their stomachs.
This took place during the warning from a blood moon tetrad on the Jewish Passover and the Feast of Trumpets Holidays in 1493 – 1494.
During the 1st Arab - Israeli War for Independence just after Israel had become a nation again for the first time in 2,000 years. It should be noted here: that even though Israel declared themselves a nation in 1948, the first permanent government took office on January 25th, 1949. Israel had a transitional government in 1948. In this way the “(Tetrad) four blood moons” are tied to the year 1949 for the first elected office of that year and the birth year could still be 1948.
On 14th May, 1948 - Israel proclaimed its independence. Less than 24 hours later, the regular armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq invaded the country, forcing Israel to defend the sovereignty it had regained in its ancestral homeland. In what became known as Israel's War of Independence, the newly formed, poorly equipped Israel Defence Forces (IDF) repulsed the invaders in fierce intermittent fighting, which lasted some 15 months and claimed over 6,000 Israeli lives (nearly one percent of the country's Jewish population at the time).
During the first months of 1949, direct negotiations were conducted under United Nations members between Israel and each of the invading countries (except Iraq, which refused to negotiate with Israel), resulting in arms agreements which reflected the situation at the end of the fighting.
Accordingly, the Coastal Plain, Galilee and the entire Negev were within Israel's sovereignty, Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) came under Jordanian rule, the Gaza Strip came under Egyptian administration, and the city of Jerusalem was divided, with Jordan controlling the eastern part, including the Old City, and Israel the western sector.
The war over, Israel focused on building the state which the people had struggled so long and so hard to regain. The first 120-seat Knesset (parliament) went into session following national elections (25 January 1949) in which nearly 85 percent of all eligible voters cast their ballots.
Two of the people who had led Israel to statehood became the country's leaders: David Ben-Gurion, head of the Jewish Agency, was chosen as the first Prime Minister; and Chaim Weizmann, head of the World Zionist Organization, was elected by the Knesset as the first president. On 11 May 1949, Israel took its seat as the 59th member of the United Nations.

Four TOTAL lunar eclipses occurred on the Jewish Passover and Feast of Tabernacle in 1967 - 1968 coinciding with the 6 Day War when Israel recaptured Jerusalem. As Israel's neighbors prepared to destroy the Jewish state, Israel invoked its inherent right of self-defense, launching a pre-emptive strike (5 June 1967) against Egypt in the South.
It was followed by a counter attack against Jordan in the East and the routing of Syrian forces entrenched on the Golan Heights in the North. At the end of six days of fighting, previous cease-fire lines were replaced by new ones, with Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights under Israel's control. As a result, the northern villages were freed from 19 years of recurrent Syrian shelling; the passage of Israeli and Israel-bound shipping through the Straits of Tiran was ensured; and Jerusalem, which had been divided under Israeli and Jordanian rule since 1949, was reunified under Israel's authority.
It is important to realize that the prophecy of blood moon tetrads always involve Israel and or the Jewish people in some form or fashion. The Blood moon tetrads serve as a warning or an Omen of event to pass.

Blood Moon Tetrad: Obama to Force Israel into a 7 Year Peace Treaty
Benjamin Netanyahu landed early Monday in Washington DC to discuss a peace agreement with Palestine, state TV reports. Its been said that President Obama will directly force Israel into an agreement despite Israel's growing concerns over the details of the plan Sec. John Kerry has laid out. In this deal its stated that Israel will have to hault their building projects in the Judea and Samaria regions and not have recognition as a Jewish state. In this deal its also confirmed that Jerusalem will serve as the capitol of both Israel and Palestine, merging the two into one state. Earlier this year Sec. John Kerry stressed this deal needs to be cemented by April of 2014.
Why is there such a hurry to get this peace treaty signed by April of 2014? The frame works for this deal have actually been layed out for thousands of years and the deadline is approaching fast, in a biblical sense. The Blood Moons are about to rise again.
Three previous back-to-back "blood-red" total lunar eclipses occurred on the first day of Passover and Sukkoth right after the 1492 Spanish Inquisition (in years 1493-1494), the 1948 War of independence (in years 1949-1950), and the 1967 Six-Day War (in the years 1967-1968), this pattern points to a very challenging time for Israel and war.
The Jewish Talmud says, "When the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel … If its face is as red as blood, [it is a sign that] the sword is coming to the world …"
The sages in the Talmud understood that a red lunar eclipse means that God will be bringing judgment to His people, Israel.
The next cycle of the Blood Moons Tetrad will be soon started April 15, 2014 the day following Passover.
The signing of this 7 Year Peace Treaty has also been for warned in the Bible as well.
Daniel 9:27 (NIV) 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
This warning also comes with the rise of the antichrist, which it is though recently that the Antichrist will be involved in this event. Only time will tell, but surely is a time we ned to be aware and watching what is transpiring on the World's Stage.

War of Gog and Magog: Russia Declares War on Ukraine
Ukraine's new government just taking office last week has accused Russia of declaring war on Ukraine and has sent their troops surrounding the country even taking control of one of their airports in the Crimea Region. "This is a red alert. This is not a threat. This is actually a declaration of war to my country," Ukrainian interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
"And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee." Ezekiel 38: 1-6
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." Revelation 20:7,

Comet Linear and Pope to visit Israel May 24, 2014
Comet Linear is hoped to dazzle the skies for star gazers and astronomers this year on May 24, 2014. Comet Linear discovered back in 2004, is thought to be an old comet that's been around the block a few times. This time the ancient comet may be fragile enough to break apart, and dust the skies of Earth with a fine meteor shower display.
At the same time this year, Pope Francis is scheduled to pay a visit to Israel over May 24, 2014. This visit is the only known confirmed papal trip for the Pope in 2014 thus far.
We also must take into account that this trip will be after the first of the four 'Blood Moons' to occur.
According to the Jewish calender, several holy days will be falling on the passing of these four blood moons. The first being Passover to occur on April 15, 2014. We will also be having a lunar eclipse this year in October.
What is the signifigance with the passing of Comet Linear on the 24th of May?
Are these events really just rooted in old superstitions associated with lesser knowledge of our surroundings? Only time will tell, but for sure these are events worthy to pay close attention to as the year wears on.

Apollo Bronze Statue found in Gaza Strip
Lost for centuries, a rare bronze statue of the Greek god Apollo has mysteriously resurfaced in the Gaza Strip, only to be seized by police and vanish almost immediately from view.
Word of the remarkable find has caught the imagination of the world of archaeology, but the police cannot say when the life-sized bronze might re-emerge or where it might be put on display.
A local fisherman says he scooped the 500kg (1,100lb) god from the seabed last August, and carried it home on a donkey cart, unaware of the significance of his catch.
Others soon guessed at its importance, and the statue briefly appeared on eBay with a $500,000 (£300,000) price tag - well below its true value. Police from the Islamist group Hamas, which rules the isolated Palestinian territory, swiftly seized it and say they are investigating the affair.
Archaeologists have not been able to get their hands on the Apollo – to their great frustration- and instead must pore over a few blurred photographs of the intact deity, who is laid out incongruously on a blanket emblazoned with Smurfs.
From what they can tell, it was cast sometime between the 5th and the 1st century BC, making it at least 2,000 years old.
"It's unique. In some ways I would say it is priceless. It's like people asking what is the [value] of the painting La Gioconda [the Mona Lisa] in the Louvre museum," said Jean-Michel de Tarragon, a historian with the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem.
"It's very, very rare to find a statue which is not in marble or in stone, but in metal," he told Reuters television.
The apparently pristine condition of the god suggested it was uncovered on land and not in the sea, he said, speculating that the true location of where it was unearthed was not revealed to avoid arguments over ownership.
"This wasn't found on the seashore or in the sea … it is very clean. No, it was [found] inland and dry," he said, adding that there were no signs of metal disfigurement or barnacles that one normally sees on items plucked from water.
Palestinian fisherman Joudat Ghrab tells a different tale. The 26-year-old father of two said he saw a human-like shape lying in shallow waters some 100 metres offshore, just north of the Egyptian-Gaza border.
At first he thought it was a badly burnt body, but when he dived down to take a closer look he realised it was a statue. He says it took him and his relatives four hours to drag the treasure ashore.
"I felt it was something gifted to me by God," Ghrab told Reuters. "My financial situation is very difficult and I am waiting for my reward."
His mother was less happy when she saw the naked Apollo carried into the house, demanding that his private parts be covered. "My mother said: 'What a disaster you have brought with you' as she looked at the huge statue," said Ghrab.
The discoloured green-brown figure shows the youthful, athletic god standing upright on two, muscular legs; he has one arm outstretched, with the palm of his hand held up.
He has compact, curly hair, and gazes out seriously at the world, one of his eyes apparently inlaid with a blue stone iris, the other just a vacant black slit.
Ghrab says he cut off one of the fingers to take to a metals expert, thinking it might have been made of gold. Unbeknownst to him, one of his brothers severed another finger for his own checks. This was melted down by a jeweller.
Family members belonging to a Hamas militia soon took charge of the statue, and at some stage the Apollo appeared on eBay, with the seller telling the buyer to come and collect the item from Gaza.
That would have been easier said than done, however, as Gaza is virtually sealed off from the outside world, with both Israel and Egypt imposing rigid controls on access to the impoverished enclave and its 1.8 million inhabitants.
Whether any potential buyers stepped forward is not clear, but when Hamas's civilian authorities found out about the artefact, they ordered the police to seize it.
Officials at Gaza's tourism ministry told Reuters the statue would not be shown to the public until a criminal investigation into who tried to sell it was completed.
However, Ahmed al-Bursh, the ministry's director of archaeology, said he had seen it and promised that Ghrab would receive a reward once the issue had been resolved.
"It is a precious treasure, an important archaeological discovery," said Bursh. Once the statue has been released by police, his ministry plans to repair it and put it on show in Gaza.
"International institutions have also contacted us and have offered to help with the repair process," he said, adding that a museum in Geneva and the Louvre in Paris wanted to take it on loan.
Like Ghrab, Bursh said the statue had been found at sea. The historian Tarragon said it was vital to know the true location of its discovery.
Some 5,000 years of history lie beneath the sands of the Gaza Strip, which was ruled at various times by ancient Egyptians, Philistines, Romans, Byzantines and crusaders.
Alexander the Great besieged the city and the Roman emperor Hadrian visited. However, local archaeologists have little experience to carry out any scientific digs and many sites remain buried.
Statues such as the Apollo cast would not have been held in isolation, meaning it may prove the tip of an historical iceberg, according to Tarragon.
"A statue at that time was [put] in a complex, in a temple or a palace. If it was in a temple, you should have all the other artefacts of the cult [at the site]," he said, adding that he hoped Hamas appreciated its potential importance.
"There is a feeling that they could find more and more [items] linked to the statue, more and more artefacts, so this is very sensitive," he said.

Israeli forces attack Al-Aqsa mosque Temple Mount
JERUSALEM: Intense clashes have erupted around Al-Aqsa mosque after numerous Israeli settlers, along with the Israeli forces have stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound repeatedly over last two days, and on Thursday even climbed the Dome of the Rock mosque. The Israeli forces fired gas grenades at the worshipers inside the mosque. The imam of the Al-Aqsa mosque, Mohamed Hussian has condemned the attack on, what considered as, Islam’s holiest places. Al-Aqsa mosque is known to Jews as ‘Temple Mount.’
The settlers were led by the Rabbi Yehuda Glick, who is the former head of the Temple Institute. The Muslim worshipers gathered to defend the mosque and threw stones in retaliation of the gas grenades fired by the Israeli army. The Muslims chanted “We sacrifice our blood and souls for you, Aqsa!”
“It is a violation against Al-Aqsa mosque and the Israeli authorities are responsible, because they order their soldiers to raid the mosque violently, they are responsible for all what is happening in Al-Aqsa mosque,” said Hussian, the imam of the Al-Aqsa mosque.
On Friday, Israeli forces forcefully cleared the week long protest carried out by Palestinians at protest camp in the Jordan valley near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah against Israel’s refusal to pull out of the area in any future peace deal.
Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld claimed that the Israeli security forces responded to provocative stone throwing at them by the Muslim worshipers inside the mosque. However, General Director of Muslim Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib has rejected these claims and said that the historical evidences show that Israeli forces have always tried to irk the Muslims and have mercilessly killed thousands of Palestinians.

Rare Second Temple Ritual Pool Discovered in Israel
A rare find in Jerusalem: archaeologists have uncovered a ritual pool from the Second Temple era near a highway construction site.
The discovery came during excavations carried out in advance of paving the Ora-Masua’ah highway in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Kiryat Menachem.
According to Israel Antiquities Authority excavation director Benyamin Storchan, “Numerous ritual baths have been excavated in Jerusalem in recent years, but the water supply system that we exposed in this excavation is unique and unusual. The pool consists of an underground chamber entered by way of steps. The mikveh received the rainwater from three collecting basins (otzar) that were hewn on the roof of the bath, and the pure water was conveyed onside the chamber through channels.
“The ritual baths known until now usually consiste of a closed cavity that was supplied with rainwater conveyed from a small rock-cut pool located nearby.
“The complex that was exposed at this time is a more sophisticated and intricate system...apparently associated with a settlement that was situated there in the Second Temple period.
“Presumable, due to the rainfall regime and arid conditions of the region, the inhabitants sought special techniques that would make it possible to store every drop of water.”
The pool, located in a picturesque valley with ancient agriculture, was uncovered a short distance from houses in the neighborhood. It conforms to all the Jewish laws, Storchan said, adding that the walls were treated with a special kind of plaster.
The Israel Antiquities Authority and the Moriah Company involved in the area’s development are “working to make this delightful treasure a site for the benefit of the residents and visitors,” according to the IAA.

300,000 Year Old Campfire found in Israel
A newly discovered hearth full of ash and charred bone in a cave in modern-day Israel hints that early humans sat around fires as early as 300,000 years ago — before Homo sapiens arose in Africa.
In and around the hearth, archaeologists say they also found bits of stone tools that were likely used for butchering and cutting animals.
The finds could shed light on a turning point in the development of culture "in which humans first began to regularly use fire both for cooking meat and as a focal point — a sort of campfire — for social gatherings," said archaeologist Ruth Shahack-Gross of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
"They also tell us something about the impressive levels of social and cognitive development of humans living some 300,000 years ago," Shahack-Gross added in a statement.
The centrally located fire pit is about 6.5 feet (2 meters) in diameter at its widest point, and its ash layers suggest the hearth was used repeatedly over time, according to the study, which was detailed in the Journal of Archaeological Science on Jan. 25. Shahack-Gross and colleagues think these features indicate the hearth may have been used by large groups of cave dwellers. What's more, its position implies some planning went into deciding where to put the fire pit, suggesting whoever built it must have had a certain level of intelligence.
Qesem Cave was discovered more than a decade ago during the construction of a road some 7 miles (11 kilometers) east of Tel Aviv. At the site, excavators had previously uncovered other traces of fire (scattered deposits of ash and clumps of soil that had been heated to high temperatures) as well as the butchered bones of big game like deer, aurochs and horse left their by the prehistoric cave dwellers, possibly up to 400,000 years ago.
Anthropologists have debated what constitutes the earliest evidence of controlled fire use — and which hominin species was responsible for it. Ash and burnt bone in Wonderwerk Cave in South Africa suggests human ancestors used fire at least 1 million years ago. Some researchers, meanwhile, have speculated that the teeth of Homo erectus suggest this early human was adapted to eat food cooked over a fire by 1.9 million years ago. A study out last year in the Cambridge Archaeological Journal argued that fire-builders would have needed some sophisticated abilities to keep their hearths burning, such as long-term planning
(gathering firewood) and group cooperation.
It's not entirely clear who was cooking at Qesem Cave. A study published about three years ago in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology described teeth found in the cave dating to between 400,000 and 200,000 years ago. The authors speculated the teeth might have belonged to modern humans (Homo sapiens), Neanderthals or perhaps a different species, though they noted they couldn't draw a solid conclusion from their evidence.
Nonetheless, study researcher Avi Gopher, an archaeologist from Tel Aviv University, said in an interview with Nature at the time, "The best match for these teeth are those from the Skhul and Qafzeh caves in northern Israel, which date later [to between 80,000 and 120,000 years ago] and which are generally thought to be modern humans of sorts."
That interpretation is at odds with the predominant view that modern humans, the only human species alive today, originated about 200,000 years ago in Africa before dispersing to other parts of the world.

Israel tries to protect ancient sites from potential earthquakes
JERUSALEM – With Israel situated in one of the world's earthquake-prone areas, officials are taking action to protect the Holy Land's most important ancient treasures so they don't come tumbling down.
After a series of five moderate earthquakes shook the country in October, experts installed a seismic monitoring system at the Tower of David, one of Jerusalem's most important -- and most visible -- historical sites.
The project is Israel's first attempt to use such technology to determine structural weaknesses in the countless ancient edifices that dot the Holy Land. The efforts, however, have been slowed by authorities' reticence to publically declare sites as vulnerable, as well as the explosive geopolitics surrounding ancient Jewish, Christian and Muslim sites at the heart of the Mideast conflict.
"We have to remember that this is the Holy Land," said Avi Shapira, head of a national steering committee for earthquake preparedness. "We have some responsibility not only to preserve the historical monuments of our personal heritage ... but also for the rest of the world."
Most of Israel's historical sites "have not been checked," said Shapira. "We have them on the map, but an engineer still hasn't visited them."
Israel sits along the friction point of the African and Arabian tectonic plates, and is prone to small tremors. The earthquakes in October caused no major damage, but made Israelis jittery. About once a century throughout history, a large earthquake has rattled the region, often damaging key historical sites. The last major quake occurred in 1927.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest site, was destroyed in an earthquake shortly after it was built in the 8th century and was damaged and repaired multiple times since due to quakes. The 1927 quake, which was over 6 in magnitude, caused hundreds of deaths and damaged Al-Aqsa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on the site where Jesus is believed to have been crucified and buried.
Israel has been bracing for another major earthquake for years. But those efforts have focused on retrofitting existing schools and hospitals and apartment buildings, and improving standards in new construction.
The country is just getting around to surveying its historical sites, and the assessment process has turned out to be sensitive.
Government experts have not published any findings on historical sites at risk, and it is unclear which government authority would be compelled to take responsibility for sites should they face earthquake damage.
Political sensitivities have prevented Israeli officials from conducting earthquake-impact assessments on the region's most revered, most ancient, and likely most vulnerable sites, including the gold-capped Dome of the Rock, said an official on Israel's earthquake preparedness steering committee. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media.
In the past, Israeli involvement in the Old City's ancient buildings has sparked protest from Palestinians who seek sovereignty there in their quest for an independent state.
After a centuries-old access ramp to a key holy site was damaged by stormy weather in 2004, Arab and Muslim leaders worldwide protested Israeli excavation work in preparation for the construction of a new ramp, accusing Israel of impinging on the site with conflicting ownership claims.
The site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary, has ignited violence when Muslims have perceived Israel to encroach upon the compound.
Israel's Antiquities Authority, in charge of conserving the country's ancient sites, declined comment on the earthquake assessment efforts.
The only site in the Old City that Israeli officials say is being checked for a possible earthquake risk is the Tower of David, one of Jerusalem's most ubiquitous symbols. The minaret-topped stone tower stands in the corner of an ancient citadel fortress, and six major cracks in the tower have the staff worried if it can withstand an earthquake.
"This is the symbol of the city, the symbol of Jerusalem, for more than 2000 years. So that's why this is a real nightmare for us," said Eilat Lieber, director of the Tower of David museum.
Researchers from the University of Padua in Italy installed sensors throughout the tower to determine what kind of earthquake-proofing it might need.
Accelerometers along the tower measure small movements caused by wind and traffic, in order to predict how an earthquake would impact the structure. At the very top of the minaret, thin bars affixed to the stones slide like bicycle tire pumps to measure the movement of cracks. Data collected by the equipment will be analyzed to determine any structural flaws in the tower and if needed, to suggest engineering solutions to stabilize the site.
The Tower of David is the first historical site in Jerusalem to be outfitted with the seismic sensors. Israeli experts are considering using the technology at other Israeli historical sites.
Experts said the monitoring technology is already in place in the famous Qutab Minar monument in New Delhi, minarets in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and various sites in Italy, including bell towers in Venice, the ancient Verona Arena in Verona, and locations in L'Aquila, following a devastating 2009 earthquake that wreaked havoc on cultural heritage buildings.
Initial assessments for the Tower of David are good. Claudio Modena, a University of Padova engineer, said the tower seems to be capable of withstanding an earthquake because its ancient foundations sit on bedrock. Three steel rings that hug the cracked minaret, installed during earlier British rule in the city, have helped save it from collapse, he said.
Orna Cohen, chief conservator of the Tower of David, said that in the event of an earthquake, Jerusalem's most ancient structures of massive stones might actually be the city's most dependable.
"If they still stand after so many earthquakes during the last 2000 years, they must be good structures," Cohen said.

New Translation of Hebrew Text May Lead to Ark of the Covenant?
A newly translated Hebrew tells a tale claiming to reveal where treasures from King Solomon's temple were hidden and discusses the fate of the Ark of the Covenant itself.
But unlike the Indiana Jones movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark," the text leaves the exact location of the Ark unclear and states that it, and the other treasures, "shall not be revealed until the day of the coming of the Messiah son of David " putting it out of reach of any would-be treasure seeker. But don't put on your Indiana Jones costume just yet; the text's translator says the book is likely just early Jewish folklore.
King Solomon's Temple, also called the First Temple, was plundered and torched by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II in the sixth century B.C., according to the Hebrew Bible. The Ark of the Covenant is a chest that, when originally built, was said to have held tablets containing the 10 commandments. It was housed in Solomon's Temple, a place that contained many different treasures.
The newly translated text, called "Treatise of the Vessels" (Massekhet Kelim in Hebrew), says the "treasures were concealed by a number of Levites and prophets," writes James Davila, a professor at the University of St. Andrews, in an article in the book "Old Testament Pseudepigrapha More Noncanonical Scriptures Volume 1" (William B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., 2013).
"Some of these (treasures) were hidden in various locations in the Land of Israel and in Babylonia, while others were delivered into the hands of the angels Shamshiel, Michael, Gabriel and perhaps Sariel " writes Davila in his article.
The treatise is similar in some ways to the metallic "Copper Scroll," one of the Dead Sea Scrolls found near the site of Qumran in the West Bank. The Copper Scroll also discusses the location of hidden treasure, although not from Solomon's Temple.
The treatise describes the treasures in an imaginative way. One part refers to "seventy-seven tables of gold, and their gold was from the walls of the Garden of Eden that was revealed to Solomon, and they radiated like the radiance of the sun and moon, which radiate at the height of the world."
The oldest confirmed example of the treatise, which survives to present day, is from a book published in Amsterdam in 1648 called "Emek Halachah." In 1876, a scholar named Adolph Jellinek published another copy of the text, which was virtually identical to the 1648 version. Davila is the first to translate the text fully into English.
A story of legendsThe writer of the text likely was not trying to convey factual locations of the hidden treasures of Solomon's Temple, but rather was writing a work of fiction, based on different legends, Davila told LiveScience.
The structure of the story is confusing. In the prologue it states that Shimmur the Levite (he doesn't appear to be a biblical figure) and his companions hid the treasures, "but later on the text mentions the treasures being in the keeping of or hidden by Shamshiel and other angels," Davila said. "I suspect the author collected various legends without too much concern about making them consistent."
Similarities to the Copper ScrollThe Copper Scroll, which dates back around 1,900 years, and is made of copper, shows several "striking parallels" with the newly translated treatise, Davila said.
The treatise says that the treasures from Solomon's Temple were recorded "on a tablet of bronze," a metal like the Copper Scroll. Additionally, among other similarities, the Treatise of the Vessels and Copper Scroll both refer to "vessels" or "implements," including examples made of gold and silver.
These similarities could be a coincidence or part of a tradition of recording important information on metal.
"My guess is that whoever wrote the Treatise of Vessels came up with the same idea [of writing a treasure list on metal] coincidentally on their own, although it is not unthinkable that the writer knew of some ancient tradition or custom about inscribing important information on metal," wrote Davila in the email, noting that metal is a more durable material than parchment or papyrus.
An ongoing storyThe study of the treatise is ongoing, and discoveries continue to be made. For instance, in the mid-20th century a copy of it (with some variations) was discovered and recorded in Beirut, Lebanon, at the end of a series of inscribed plates that record the Book of Ezekiel.
Those plates are now at the Yad Ben Zvi Institute in Israel, although the plates containing the treatise itself are now missing. Recent research has revealed, however, these plates were created in Syria at the turn of the 20th century, about 100 years ago, suggesting the treatise was being told in an elaborate way up until relatively modern times.

Ancient Fountain Found in Ramla
An archeological dig south of Highway 44 has turned up the foundations of a home and garden believed to be 900 years old.
The home was built from hewn stone. The fountain included a mosaic and a system of ceramic pipes. The remains of a large well and irrigation systm were found nearby.
About 20 meters to the south archaeologists found a furnace that was apparently used to make iron tools.
Antiquities Authority expert Hagit Turgeh said, “The place was apparently the home of a well-to-do family, and the fountain was apparently decorative. This is the first time a fountain has been found outside the known wealthy neighborhoods of ancient Ramla.”
Most of the ancient fountains that have been found were located near what was once the city center, she explained.
“This is also the first time a fountain’s pipe has been found entirely intact,” she added. “The other fountain’s pipes did not survive the earthquakes of 1033 and 1068.”
The entire area seems to have been abandoned in the eleventh century, apparently in the wake of the earthquakes.
The city of Ramla was established in the 8th century, and for some time was one of the most important cities in the land of Israel. The city’s location on the road from Cairo to Damascus, and from Yafo to Jerusalem, added to its importance as a central trade point.
The current archaeological digs are being done as part of the preparations for a road project in the area. The latest discoveries were moved and will be displayed elsewhere.
The work on Highway 44 is expected to take another two and a half years. Planners hope it will significantly reduce traffic jams during rush hour.

Fishermen Leave Behind Bible Era Treasure
It started with a phone call from Osnat Lester, a resident of Poriya Illit, to the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). “Stored in my warehouse,” she said, “there are crates full of ancient jars that were left behind by a relative, a fisherman, who has passed on. I want to hand over the jars to the state, but it is important for me that my grandchildren will know where they will be kept in the future.”
Two archaeologists were dispatched to Lester's home, where they were astounded to discover a real archaeological treasure: numerous whole ancient jars – or amphoras – from different eras, wrapped in bedsheets and pieces of cloth.
The jars had apparently been carried by ancient ships that sank at sea at different eras. They were covered by a layer of encrustation that includes sea shells and chalk sediment, as is typical of findings that have been on the sea floor for a long time.
One of the amphoras was an impressive Biblical era jar from about 3,000 years ago, the archaeologists said. Other jars were from the Roman and Byzatine eras. The IAA commended Lester for her act of good citizenship and promised that the jars would be placed on display for viewing by the general public.

Temple Mount: Oldest Artifact Ever Found!
Working near the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Hebrew University of Jerusalem archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar has unearthed the earliest alphabetical written text ever uncovered in the city.
The inscription is engraved on a large pithos, a neckless ceramic jar found with six others at the Ophel excavation site. According to Dr. Mazar, the inscription, in the Canaanite language, is the only one of its kind discovered in Jerusalem and an important addition to the city’s history.
Dated to the tenth century BCE, the artifact predates by two hundred and fifty years the earliest known Hebrew inscription from Jerusalem, which is from the period of King Hezekiah at the end of the eighth century BCE.
A third-generation archaeologist working at the Hebrew University’s Institute of Archaeology, Dr. Mazar directs archaeological excavations on the summit of the City of David and at the southern wall of the Temple Mount.
The discovery will be announced in a paper by Dr. Mazar, Prof. Shmuel Ahituv of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and Dr. David Ben-Shlomo of the Hebrew University, following their extensive research on the artifact. Prof. Ahituv studied the inscription and Dr. Ben-Shlomo studied the composition of the ceramic materials.
The press release issued Wednesday did not specify what the inscription actually says.
Archaeological finds in Jerusalem, and specifically in the Temple Mount region, are also of political significance. Some of the finds, like the recent discovery of evidence corroborating contemporary accounts of the Roman seige of the Second Temple, or the possible site of the Tabernacle at Shilo, fly in the face of Arab attempts to deny that the Jewish Temple ever existed.
While the anti-Israeli propaganda machine is sophisticated and heavily funded, the Israeli counter-effort has been relatively ineffective. However, every few weeks or months, it appears that the Jews' ancestors, along with modern archaeologists, are there to lend a hand in the campaign to prove that Zion was indeed the historical homeland of the Jews, long before Mohammed was born in Arabia.
